We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to join our Neuroscience ICU team at the University of Missouri. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our unit, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate unit activities, including answering call lights, monitoring visitors, and assisting with emergencies.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support, including transcribing physician orders, answering phones, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, restock supplies, and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Promote patient satisfaction and resolve concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform charge entry duties, run and reconcile reports, and collect patient and unit data as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
