Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at Countrymark Refining and Logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for converting work requests into work orders, developing job plans, and ordering materials and equipment to execute routine maintenance work in a safe and economical manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Convert approved notifications into work orders and develop accurate work plans or detailed lists of job steps, including manpower and material requirements.
  • Identify resources, materials, and additional services, and perform on-site field assessments to validate requirements.
  • Verify that work instructions comply with established procedures and standards, and coordinate with Procurement to requisition parts, materials, and services.
  • Create work order packages containing detailed instructions for craftsperson to perform work.
  • Ensure work orders have been thoroughly planned before issuance for execution and contain requisite elements such as drawings, schematics, P&IDs, Job Safety Analysis, and material safety data sheets.
  • Provide contractor assistance with materials and coordinate needed equipment and permits.
  • Create Purchase Orders for contracts and everyday repairs.
  • Develop routine PMs derived from action items and audits on company assets, using equipment criticality and MTBFs for frequencies.
  • Work closely with reliability to acquire BOMs on objects and set up new items, linking objects with correct minimum spare parts on hand.
  • Work with vendors on repairs and quotes for POs.
  • Relieve the Scheduler when they are on vacation.
  • Follow up on emergency work, such as contacting vendors and purchase orders.
  • Plan, kit, and coordinate turnaround work with TAR scheduler.
  • Perform needed repairs on existing refinery equipment during turnaround.
  • Serve as the principal contact and liaison between maintenance, operations, and other supported departments.
  • Review equipment history for trends and recommended improvements.
  • Aid supervisor in assurance to avoid bottlenecks and interruptions.
  • Reduce cost of maintenance while improving service by minimizing downtime and interruptions to operations.
Requirements
  • Minimum: High School Diploma required. Associate degree in related field is preferred.
  • Minimum: 5-7 years journeyman-level maintenance craft experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Strong computer skills and industrial maintenance background.
  • Working knowledge of process flow sheets and P&IDs required.
  • Reading and math skills are required, along with ability to read and interpret blueprints and produce field sketches.
  • Ability to multi-task and initiative-taking.
  • Strong organizational and people skills.
  • Passion for driving work and organization excellence.
  • Strong resource scheduling and coordinating skills.
  • Strong oral & written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
