Job Description

Position Overview

Solari Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of our affordable housing community in Vernon, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of the community, including administrative tasks, maintenance, and resident services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage community team members to ensure excellent resident services and community maintenance
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to management, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident files in compliance with management procedures and funding agency regulations
  • Process resident applications and lease units in accordance with the Resident Selection Criteria
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local government agencies, including HUD and TAC
  • Conduct regular inspections of maintenance work, grounds, and common areas to ensure compliance with community standards
  • Collect rents and handle delinquent accounts in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in property management, preferably in affordable housing
  • Proven experience in supervising staff members and managing community operations
  • Knowledge of Section 8 and other affordable housing programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external agencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
  • Experience with Yardi property management software
  • Knowledge of fair housing, 504 ADA, HUD, and Section 42 regulations
  • Certified Professional of Occupancy Certification (CPO) or Specialist in Housing Credit Management Designation (SHCM)
  • Registered Apartment Manager (RAM) or Fair Housing Coordinator (FHC) Certification

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $25.00/hourly
  • 2-bedroom unit included
