We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Specialist 2 to join our team at UW Medical Center-Northwest. As a key member of our admitting department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets and directs patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Ensures patients understand admission policies and procedures
  • Coordinates obtaining interpreters for patients as needed
  • Registers patients, verifies demographic and financial information, and collects co-payments
  • Responds to patient questions and provides directions to various hospital areas
  • Assists patients in accessing hospital and community services
  • Promptly and courteously answers calls through the Medical Center switchboard
  • Implements emergency procedures calmly and efficiently
Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent and one year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience. Equivalent education/experience may be considered.
