Role of the Production Scheduler:

In the capacity of a Production Scheduler, you will work closely with plant leaders to optimize job workflows, produce high-quality components, and adhere to customer delivery schedules.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in utilizing the Epicor system for managing incoming orders at Trace-A-Matic
  • Experienced in scheduling machinery across all manufacturing operations
  • Ability to promptly enter new jobs into the system for effective scheduling
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with procurement and subcontractors to achieve timely targets
  • Skilled in creating rework jobs in response to Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) to facilitate repairs
  • Assisting leads in planning weekly work hours
  • Engaging in daily shop inspections to monitor project progress and foresee scheduling challenges
  • Analyzing sales order backlog reports and providing monthly forecasts to management
  • Capable of cross-training and supporting backup schedulers
  • Performing additional tasks as required

Qualifications Required:

  • A Technical Degree (minimum two-year, preferred four-year degree)
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Basic understanding of machining practices and blueprint reading
  • Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to effectively manage high-pressure situations
