Under the guidance of the Director of Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance, your primary responsibility will be to assist in coordinating and executing product safety initiatives, with a specific emphasis on Lithium-Ion Battery Packs and Battery Chargers.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Hazard Analysis Reviews (HARs), product safety evaluations, and analysis of customer returns.

Your Impact:
Evaluate information and provide assessments regarding the safety of concepts, designs, or products.


Advise Project Leaders, Engineers, and Designers on safety requirements, including testing and design constraints to mitigate risks of injury and property damage.

Engage with external customers concerning product safety issues.

Perform inspections and failure analyses on returned products, summarizing and reporting findings.

Oversee Product Safety Testing:
Prepare test samples, execute tests, report results, and analyze data.

Review and provide feedback on operator manuals and product markings.

Assist the Department Director with recall execution.

Stay informed about the latest OSHA requirements and industry safety standards, rules, or regulations. When requirements are ambiguous, assist in obtaining clarifications from the relevant authorities.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required.

5-7 years of experience in product safety activities, ideally involving lithium-ion batteries, battery chargers, power tools, or similar consumer products.

Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and organizational skills essential for professional communication.

Exhibit a commitment to schedules and attention to detail.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
