As a Project Leader, you will manage multiple complex engineering initiatives with minimal oversight. This role involves delivering project management and technical guidance to ensure the successful and timely execution of projects that support New Product Development, Continuous Improvement, Value Engineering, and Product Support within our Accessories business unit.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading high complexity projects with extensive item counts, including next-generation products and innovations new to Milwaukee Tool.
  • Providing direction and engineering expertise to team members while reviewing the work of designers and engineers.
  • Ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Communicating effectively to ensure all teams are aligned towards timely project completion.
  • Driving design efforts to meet market-driven specifications while adhering to cost, timing, reliability, and manufacturing standards.
  • Identifying project risks and implementing strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Evaluating design alternatives to meet project specifications and facilitate mass production.
  • Overseeing technical aspects of project execution, including integration of complex components and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conducting necessary design and safety reviews to progress product development phases.
  • Adhering to all Milwaukee Tool procedures related to new product development and project flow.
  • Visualizing the entire project scope with minimal guidance.
  • Facilitating project meetings, tracking schedules, and documenting progress.
  • Presenting project status updates regularly.
  • Maintaining awareness of competitive offerings and the overall business landscape in the power tool sector.
  • Collaborating extensively with manufacturing plants and external suppliers to achieve project objectives.
  • Leading cross-functional teams in developing advanced performance power tool accessories.
  • Designing experiments and testing systems to validate designs.
  • Conducting high complexity design optimizations and root cause analyses.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned to support broader business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; advanced studies in Project Management, Finance, Marketing, or Organizational Studies preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience managing low to moderate complexity projects or subsystems.
  • Strong Mechanical/Electrical engineering aptitude.
  • Comprehensive design knowledge of various technologies associated with Milwaukee products.
  • Ability to draft detailed test plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for both domestic and international engagements.
