About the Job: We are seeking an experienced and skilled A/V Installation Technician to join our team at Control Freaks Hawaii. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts.

Job Summary: As an A/V Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing and integrating state-of-the-art audio/visual systems in residential and commercial settings. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and then design and implement customized solutions that meet those needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure audio/visual equipment, including speakers, televisions, and projectors
  • Run low-voltage wiring during construction and after
  • Trench and conduit installation
  • Interpret engineering schematics
  • Terminate head-end system components
  • Understand installation interfaces between control systems and subsystems
  • Troubleshoot audio, visual, and automation equipment

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in low-voltage, especially AV & custom installation
  • Knowledge of residential systems integration including audio/video, Control4 Systems, Crestron, Lutron Lighting & Shade systems, Alarms, Electrical Systems, and IT and Networking Systems
  • An understanding of signal flows and control systems for distributed audio, video, and home theater systems and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electronic schematics, and user manuals
  • Understanding of construction techniques, system design and principles behind wiring
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
