Job Summary

The HVAC Technician I performs a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and other mechanical and electrical systems. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems
  • Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
  • Identify and mitigate maintenance risks on equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems
  • Perform emergency repairs and provide technical direction and on-the-job training
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance functions and ensure compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety Act
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Three years of HVAC experience preferred
  • Refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification preferred
