About the Role:

This position is responsible for maintaining and servicing electrical systems and equipment at our Galveston location.

The Maintenance Electrician will handle large-scale machinery and heavy equipment and must be proficient with 480-volt systems, industrial environments, and 3-phase electrical systems.

Experience with overhead cranes is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on pumps, vacuum pumps, submergible pumps, and steam pumps.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools effectively to perform tasks such as wiring, testing, and equipment installation.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with yard and vendor personnel to address maintenance and repair needs promptly.
  • Inspect equipment and diagnose issues with pumps, compressors, generators, motors, and other electrical machinery.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards while performing all work activities.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Experience with 480 volts, industrial settings, and 3-phase systems is required.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on electrical systems.
  • Overhead crane experience required; certification preferred.
