Job Title: Medical Care Specialist - Internal Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at UTMB Health.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant to provide patient care assistance in a clinic setting, working under the supervision of a primary care physician. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and clinical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care assistance in a clinic setting, under the supervision of a primary care physician.
  • Conduct physical exams, take medical histories, and order diagnostic tests as necessary.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and procedural interventions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas Physician Assistant Board/Texas Medical Board (TPAB/TMB).
  • Completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
