- Provide training and guidance to team members on billing and collection procedures.
- Lead client calls and create agendas to ensure effective communication.
- Analyze inventory and create projects to accelerate cash flow and reduce aging.
- Assist with facility requests and ensure accuracy before sending to clients.
- Audit work of billers and claims analysts to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Address team member questions and issues, and oversee work for quality and compliance.
- Run productivity reports and work with team members to meet minimum standards.
- Support staff in completing tasks in a timely manner and advise management of any issues.
- Report on staff progress, deficiencies, and training needs to management.
- Coordinate with the Manager/Director to prioritize assignments based on current issues and business needs.
- Promote teamwork and remain available to assist staff as needed.
- Identify trends and work with the Manager for resolution.
- Weekly reporting to the Manager on team performance and participating in AR meetings.
- Gather and interpret data from systems and understand the appropriate course of action to take.
- Effectively communicate any relevant information to the Revenue Cycle Manager.
- Lead the team in supporting ARx policies and goals, while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
- Work as a liaison between team members and facility staff.
- Assist with payroll questions and Paychex time approval.
- Assist manager with team goals and action plans.
Requirements:
- Analytical skills to identify key issues and relationships from a base of information.
- Organization skills to proactively organize work and assign tasks to staff.
- Communication skills to write reports, correspondence, and assist with procedure manuals.
- Leadership skills to guide individuals and groups toward desired outcomes.
- Customer orientation to establish and maintain long-term relationships with staff, peers, and customers.
- Tactical execution to deploy plans and offer feedback to management.
- Policies and procedures to articulate knowledge and understanding of organizational policies.
- PC skills to demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Team skills to operate in a collaborative team environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 2+ years of healthcare billing/AR experience, preferred.
- Healthcare payor claims follow-up or accounts receivable experience.
- Healthcare background with payor appeals experience.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office.
