Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor at Lasko Products, you will oversee the production line, ensuring efficient and effective operations. Your responsibilities will include planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in production methods and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Read and analyze work orders, production schedules, and other records to determine production and manpower requirements.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Inspect products and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
- Monitor work to ensure employees conform to production or processing standards.
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Maintain operations data such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
- Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, housekeeping, or efficiency.
- Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
- Recommend personnel actions such as discipline and promotions.
- Set up and adjust machines and equipment.
- Coaching and Development - Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.
- Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.

- Must be mechanically adept and knowledgeable in installing and removing dies; adjusting dies, metal bender, transfer systems, adjusting metal feeders, weld parameters, changing tips, guns, shanks, and cables.
- Must possess basic knowledge of tools.
- Obtain forklift certification and training in the event of forklift operator absence.
