Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice to clients, manage vendor prequalification, evaluate proposals, and facilitate bid interviews while overseeing the appointment process.
  • Oversee estimating services for comprehensive projects by developing and reviewing project cost estimates, presenting findings to clients, and conducting value engineering and risk assessments.
  • Establish and manage cost reporting schedules, review and present cost reports and forecasts, and maintain a commercial risk register.
  • Implement cost control measures by reviewing payment applications, liaising with project managers, and managing change orders and contractual disputes.
  • Monitor the invoicing process and benchmark performance against other successful projects.
  • Conduct post-contract reviews to document lessons learned and enhance future project delivery.
  • Develop and implement procedures for project handover.
  • Utilize various tools, including Bid Analysis Sheets and Cost Estimating Software, to perform all duties effectively.
Performance Metrics
  • Ensure projects are executed to high-quality standards, completed on schedule, and within budget.
  • Align project delivery with client objectives and contractual conditions.
  • Lead project teams effectively and foster strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Monitor the financial health of all projects and ensure key information is effectively communicated and retained.
Qualifications

Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Construction Management or a related field, evaluated as equivalent to a six-year U.S. Bachelor's degree.

Professional Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience, including at least three years in a senior cost management role, with responsibilities such as:

  • Facilitating the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including document preparation and bid analysis.
  • Supporting senior management with project estimates and budget updates.
  • Updating cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
  • Assessing vendor change orders and payment applications.
  • Measuring and pricing construction materials.
