Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice to clients, manage vendor prequalification, evaluate proposals and bids, and make final recommendations while facilitating bid interviews and overseeing the appointment process.
  • Oversee estimating services for comprehensive projects by developing detailed project estimates, reviewing junior team members' estimations, presenting these estimates to clients, and offering value engineering insights and risk assessments.
  • Manage cost reporting by establishing a reporting schedule, reviewing and presenting cost reports and forecasts, and maintaining a commercial risk register while conducting regular meetings with project teams and vendors.
  • Supervise the cost control process by reviewing payment applications prepared by junior staff, collaborating with project managers on contractor entitlements, and managing change orders and contractual disputes.
  • Oversee the invoicing process and benchmark performance against successful commissions.
  • Conduct post-contract reviews with clients to compile lessons learned and develop training materials.
  • Establish procedures for project handover.
  • Utilize tools such as Bid Analysis Sheets, Change Control Forms, Cost Estimating Software, and Takeoff Software to perform all responsibilities.
Performance Metrics
  • Ensure projects are managed to meet quality standards and are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Deliver project outcomes that align with client objectives and appointment conditions.
  • Effectively lead the project team.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Monitor the internal financial status of all projects effectively.
  • Ensure key information and data are communicated effectively and retained appropriately.
Qualifications

Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Construction Management or a related field. Acceptable equivalents to a U.S. Bachelor's degree may include a combination of degrees, certificates, training, and/or experience evaluated as equivalent to a six-year U.S. Bachelor's degree by a credential evaluator.

Professional Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience in all job duties listed, or three years in a senior cost management role, performing similar responsibilities.

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time position is between $135K and $155K annually. This range reflects base salary only and does not encompass the total compensation package. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to adjust compensation based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
