Data Center Constructability Specialist

**Job Summary**

IES Commercial, Inc. - Commercial & Industrial Division is seeking a Data Center Constructability Specialist to work on various data center projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical installation, data center construction, and BIM software. The role involves coordinating with project supervision and design teams to ensure constructability and applying a detailed understanding of electrical installation, data center construction, and working knowledge of BIM with ability to become proficient with multiple software programs.

**Responsibilities**

- Coordinate directly with Project Supervision and the Design Team to keep the project design progressing, provides project with installation drawings, and updates the Model with as-built information.
- Applies familiarity of construction techniques, mechanical equipment installation and electrical construction with ability to perform constructability reviews.
- Works with engineering, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors to develop installation strategies, scope definition, and solve installation challenges.
- Coordinates information between design team, contractors, suppliers, and client; acts as liaison between contractor, supplier, designers, and engineers to identify and efficiently resolve problems.
- Prepares weekly and monthly reports for management describing progress and problems occurring during completion of the project; maintains daily reports; and keeps management informed.
- Maintains current project records, design drawings and data, shop drawings, O&M manuals, as-built drawings, etc.
- Acts as point of contact for all Design Coordination.

**Requirements**

- Data Center experience required.
- BS degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 7+ years Electrical Field experience (Master's or Journeyman preferred).
- Electrical Superintendent for Data Center or Industrial projects experience preferred.
- Experience with $20-$100M electrical projects preferred.
- Proficient understanding of 3D modeling systems (will not be modeling/drawing).
- Proficient in Blue Beam, Procore, CX Alloy, BIM360, MS Project, P6, and other industry standard software.
- Excellent computer, communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills.
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check.
