Testing Center Specialist

The Division for Academic Success (DAS) at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is seeking a skilled Testing Center Specialist to join our team. This role is part of the Office of the Senior Vice President for Health Sciences (OSVPHS) and is responsible for administering and monitoring exams taken at the VCU DAS Testing Center.
Key Responsibilities
Administer exams to students and faculty in the health sciences programs
Monitor students taking exams and ensure a secure testing environment
Explain exam procedures and answer questions from students and faculty
Implement testing accommodations as provided by the Sr. Testing Center Coordinator
Troubleshoot and assist students with basic computer issues
Assist with returning exam materials and other documents
Protect the confidentiality and security of all exam materials and documents
Serve as backup to the Sr. Testing Center Coordinator for scheduling exams and responding to student and faculty requests
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Effective written and oral communication skills
Data entry and data management skills
Customer service and conflict management skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and varying abilities
Ability to employ creative problem-solving skills
Ability to work cooperatively as a team member and independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in disability services with post-secondary students with disabilities
Proficient with Google platform and Microsoft Windows-based computer programs
