Job Summary:

Duluth Trading Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales and profitability, leading a team of associates, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Profitability:
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profitability in the store.
    • Lead and motivate a team of associates to achieve sales and profitability goals.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customers receive a positive experience.
    • Lead by example and demonstrate a high level of customer engagement and service.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the Duluth Trading Company brand and products.
  • Leadership and Development:
    • Recruit, train, and develop a team of associates to achieve sales and profitability goals.
    • Provide coaching and feedback to associates to improve performance and achieve goals.
    • Partner with the Store Manager to develop and implement training programs to improve sales and customer service skills.
  • Store Operations:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the store, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and cash handling.
    • Ensure that the store is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
    • Monitor and control expenses to achieve profitability goals.
  • Human Resources:
    • Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, hire, and train new associates.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
    • Provide support and guidance to associates to ensure a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail management experience.
  • Proven track record of driving sales and profitability in a retail environment.
  • Excellent customer service and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
