Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients to the practice, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Enter patient information into our data system, answer patients' questions, and arrange referrals to other dental specialists as needed.
  • Assist patients in filling out information forms and prepare patients' charts and daily schedules for the dental staff.
  • Update patient records and document recent treatments and procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and provide telephonic reminders to patients, ensuring timely follow-up care.
  • Verify methods of payment and collect payments as needed, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Verify patients' dental insurance coverage and process claims as necessary.
  • Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing, as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a dental office setting, with knowledge of Dentrix software.
  • Prior experience with insurance plans and claims processing, as well as knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and diagnosis.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers.
  • Good telephone etiquette and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to support changing schedules and priorities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to excellence.
