Job Description:

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking an Aviation Program Coordinator to join our team at Langley AFB, VA. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing complex operational aviation programs and will be responsible for supporting the development of long-term strategies that meet operational objectives.

About the Role:

The Aviation Program Coordinator will work closely with Joint Staff and Air Force headquarters to develop long-term strategies that meet operational objectives. This involves attending regular teleconferences, coordinating with teams, and documenting key information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Joint Staff and Air Force headquarters to develop long-term strategies
  • Attend and coordinate weekly teleconferences and other meetings as required
  • Document key information and update records
  • Develop RPA systems requirements based on operational inputs
  • Provide scheduling recommendations for operational units
  • Assist in preparing detailed system acquisition documents
  • Support the development of staff packages and contingency plans
  • Build and manage operational UTCs and coordinate maintenance activities

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of NAF or higher staff experience managing complex operational aviation programs
  • 2 years of experience managing Fighter, Adversary Air, or RPA-related operations programs
  • 6 years of operational mission experience in DoD aircraft

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience
