EHS Compliance Manager

As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for driving our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) initiatives. We seek individuals who are motivated, adaptable, and collaborative to help us maintain our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and promote EH&S programs and policies throughout the organization.
  • Develop and implement corporate and plant policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Oversee environmental permits, hazardous waste management, and reduction initiatives.
  • Evaluate new equipment, processes, or chemicals to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Lead special projects related to facility and equipment layouts.
  • Establish and maintain Material Handling programs.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Subject Matter Experts on safety programs.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and implement improvements.
  • Develop safety programs that cultivate a culture of shared responsibility for safety.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of all EH&S training and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond to EH&S emergencies, conduct investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to report, track, and analyze EH&S metrics.
  • Maintain the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) system and ensure compliance for new materials.
  • Work with leadership to set annual injury reduction targets and develop a Safety Annual Plan.
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure timely corrective actions for any discrepancies.
  • Adapt to changing requirements and undertake additional tasks as necessary.
Required Skills and Experience:

Essential Criteria:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and planning abilities, with a capacity to manage shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working collaboratively and inspiring others.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or a related field is preferred.
