As a key player in our team, you will be responsible for the following:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate and communicate EH&S programs and policies effectively across the organization.
  • Develop and implement corporate and plant policies, standards, and procedures to meet compliance requirements.
  • Oversee environmental permits, manage hazardous waste, and drive initiatives for waste reduction.
  • Lead assessments of new equipment, processes, or chemicals to ensure safety and environmental standards are met.
  • Coordinate special project assignments related to facility and equipment layouts.
  • Establish and maintain Material Handling programs.
  • Mentor Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on their designated safety programs.
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations and recommend improvements.
  • Implement safety initiatives to cultivate a culture of interdependence in safety practices.
  • Ensure the effective development and delivery of all EH&S training and education programs, while maintaining comprehensive EHS records.
  • Respond to EH&S emergencies in collaboration with management, investigate incidents, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work with leadership to report, track, and analyze EHS metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) system and ensure proper training on new materials and products.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set annual injury reduction targets and develop a Safety Annual Plan to achieve these goals.
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure timely corrective actions for any discrepancies.
  • Adapt to changing requirements and perform additional tasks as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential Criteria
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role within a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and planning abilities, with a knack for managing shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a team environment and inspires others.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or a related field is required.
