Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and communicate EH&S programs and policies effectively.
  • Develop and adhere to corporate and plant standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage environmental permits and hazardous waste programs to ensure compliance.
  • Lead assessments of new equipment and processes to ensure safety and environmental standards are met.
  • Implement special projects related to facility and equipment layouts.
  • Establish and maintain Material Handling programs.
  • Mentor Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on their safety programs.
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations and implement improvements.
  • Foster a safety culture where all employees prioritize each other's safety.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of EHS training programs and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond to EH&S emergencies and investigate incidents, recommending corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with leadership for reporting and analyzing EHS metrics.
  • Maintain the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) system and ensure compliance with new materials.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set injury reduction targets and develop the Safety Annual Plan.
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure timely corrective actions for discrepancies.
  • Adapt to changing requirements and perform additional tasks as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and planning abilities, with a capacity to manage changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently and motivate team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or a related field is preferred.
