Position Overview:
The Housekeeping Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of designated areas within the hotel. This position involves not only maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the property but also delivering essential items to guest rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance of marble floors in accordance with hotel standards.
- Shampoo carpets in public spaces as per established guidelines.
- Clean and maintain furniture as necessary.
- Assist guests with luggage in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Manage lost and found items in compliance with hotel protocols.
- Provide cleaning services to guest rooms as required.
- Be knowledgeable about and assist in emergency procedures.
- Ensure hotel equipment is functioning properly and maintained.
- Organize and store hotel equipment in designated areas.
- Complete special tasks as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
- Strive to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in hospitality or a related field.
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Capability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff and guests in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
