Job Overview

Staffworks CNY is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Production Operator within a prominent manufacturing facility. This position involves a rotating work schedule, alternating between three and four workdays each week.

Compensation: $17.50 per hour

As a key player in the Packaging and Wet End Departments, you will be tasked with meeting operational standards and obtaining certification for all functions related to the effective management of equipment. This role encompasses both routine and advanced responsibilities, including setup, operation, changeovers, assembly/disassembly, cleaning, and adherence to safety protocols. You will also perform all necessary duties associated with Production Operator Support and Packaging Specialist roles.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with operational standards for all machinery and equipment.
  • Interpret and adhere to customer specifications accurately.
  • Manage both routine and complex tasks with minimal supervision, including assembly/disassembly and changeovers.
  • Propose enhancements for operational efficiency.
  • Promptly report any issues related to safety, food safety, maintenance, production, or quality to the supervisor.
  • Lead the team on assigned machinery, including task delegation, employee rotation, and troubleshooting line issues independently or with leadership support.
  • Maintain compliance with food quality and safety regulations, including accurate date codes, product specifications, and necessary documentation.
  • Facilitate the successful onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Monitor productivity and quality metrics, seeking opportunities to enhance line performance.
  • Perform additional duties as required in Production Operator Support or Packaging Specialist roles.

  • Mechanical proficiency
  • Experience in machine setup, troubleshooting, and changeovers is advantageous
  • Familiarity with SQF and FDA regulations is preferred
