Job Title: Physician Assistant, Bipolar Disorder Center, UT Health Austin

Job Summary:

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our Bipolar Disorder Center. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our comprehensive treatment programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient status through health history interviews, chart reviews, and physical examinations
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and coordinating care
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in clinical trials and research projects to advance our understanding of bipolar disorder
  • Contribute to the development of our treatment programs and protocols

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program
  • Active RN and APNP license in the State of Texas, in good standing
  • Active board certification as a NP
  • At least one year of experience in the inpatient and outpatient care of bipolar disorder and related disorders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience in a psychiatric practice or other related facility
  • Experience with large research projects and clinical trials
  • Working knowledge of and/or experience with Value-Based Healthcare Delivery models
