Job Summary:
The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our Bipolar Disorder Center. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our comprehensive treatment programs.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient status through health history interviews, chart reviews, and physical examinations
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and coordinating care
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Participate in clinical trials and research projects to advance our understanding of bipolar disorder
- Contribute to the development of our treatment programs and protocols
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program
- Active RN and APNP license in the State of Texas, in good standing
- Active board certification as a NP
- At least one year of experience in the inpatient and outpatient care of bipolar disorder and related disorders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three or more years of experience in a psychiatric practice or other related facility
- Experience with large research projects and clinical trials
- Working knowledge of and/or experience with Value-Based Healthcare Delivery models
