Job Title: Behavioral Intervention Specialist

Job Overview:

The Behavioral Intervention Specialist at Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center is responsible for implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions and providing direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.

Key responsibilities include implementing behavior reduction strategies and skill acquisition programs outlined in individualized treatment plans, accurately collecting and recording behavioral and skill acquisition data during therapy sessions, and assisting in analyzing data to monitor progress and make data-driven decisions for program adjustments.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement ABA interventions and provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
  • Implement behavior reduction strategies and skill acquisition programs outlined in individualized treatment plans.
  • Accurately collect and record behavioral and skill acquisition data during therapy sessions.
  • Assist in analyzing data to monitor progress and make data-driven decisions for program adjustments.
  • Teach and reinforce a wide range of skills, including communication, social, academic, self-care, and adaptive skills, based on individual client goals.
  • Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and other team members to ensure consistent and effective implementation of treatment plans.
  • Provide training and support to families and caregivers on implementing ABA techniques and strategies outside therapy sessions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 1 year of experience working with children, preferably in a behavioral therapy setting.
  • Valid/current driver's license, car insurance, and personal vehicle for transportation.
  • Excellent time management and data collection skills.
