Position Summary: We are seeking a qualified Medical Lab Technician PRN to oversee various laboratory functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing charge submissions and accounts receivable within designated facilities. This role involves preparing financial analyses and operational reports while ensuring compliance with coding and reimbursement policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely updates of all fee structures and procedural codes.
  • Clear and effective communication of information.
  • Collaboration with billing companies to address and resolve denial issues.
  • Preparation of status reports and weekly utilization summaries.
  • Adherence to compliance guidelines and patient confidentiality standards.
  • Acting as a resource for staff regarding coding and reimbursement policies.
  • Development of payment schedules based on patient circumstances.
  • Verification of patient insurance information and benefits.
  • Regular reporting to management and requesting intervention when necessary.
  • Interaction with vendors related to billing and collections.
  • Assistance in reviewing deposits to ensure cash flow stability.
  • Participation in operational reviews to enhance charge submission processes.
  • Ensuring timely follow-up on charge submissions and accounts receivable.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree along with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Strong multitasking and prioritization skills are essential, as well as effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing submissions and analyses is crucial. Familiarity with medical terminology and standard office equipment is required.
