Ultrasound Imaging Specialist

Position Overview
As an Ultrasound Imaging Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Your expertise will contribute to patient care by utilizing advanced ultrasound technology to capture detailed images of internal structures.
Key Details
- Sign-on Bonus: $6,000.00
- Department: Ultrasound
- Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours per week, 12-hour shifts on Monday and Tuesday from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, with every third Saturday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM
- Location: Madison Heights, MI

Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting diagnostic examinations using ultrasound technology to assess tissue and organ structures, ensuring high-quality imaging for medical interpretation.
- Setting up and calibrating ultrasound equipment, and expertly maneuvering transducers to obtain necessary images.
- Adhering to safety protocols and executing quality control measures to maintain imaging standards.
- Performing both routine and advanced imaging studies while assisting in various imaging procedures.
- Identifying significant anatomical structures, recognizing artifacts, and understanding equipment limitations.
- Ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Submitting high-quality images and documentation to the PACS system, ensuring accuracy in patient data and history.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
- Complying with all regulatory requirements and standards.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A valid BLS Provider certification obtained within one month of hire.
- One or more of the following credentials:
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (ARRT)
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography (ARRT)
- Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography (ARDMS or CCI)
- Cardiographic Tech (CCI)
- Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
- A high school diploma or GED with two years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree or Technical degree obtained within six months of hire.
