Northwest New Mexico Council of Governments (NWNMCOG) is seeking a skilled Regional Development Coordinator to join their team in Gallup, New Mexico. This exciting opportunity allows the selected candidate to contribute to the growth and development of the region.

About the Role

This role involves providing planning, project development, and technical assistance services to COG member governments and on grant-funded projects. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting research, compiling statistics, and preparing research reports. Additionally, you will participate in managing the COG's website, social media, document databases, and GIS graphical media.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member & Regional Program Services: Provide planning, project development, and technical assistance services to COG member governments, as well as on grant-funded projects.
  • Research: Conduct research on various topics, compile statistics, and prepare research reports.
  • Document and Data Management: Participate in managing the COG's website, social media, document databases, and GIS graphical media.
  • Technical Writing: Prepare technical reports, grant proposals, graphical and mapping products, and correspondence for internal and external use.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Assist in preparing for, facilitating, and documenting meetings and workshops.
  • Project Management: Provide technical and logistical support to specific projects or events as assigned.
Requirements
  • Residency: Must reside within commuting distance of Council of Governments headquarters in Gallup, New Mexico.
  • Comportment: Appropriate professional business attire is required; professionalism is expected in communications with fellow employees, governmental clients, and associates.
  • Mature Self-Direction: Ability to respond effectively to specific and general direction, as well as to show initiative in solving problems and seeking answers from a variety of sources.
  • High Energy: Ability to sustain high levels of performance, enthusiasm, flexibility, and productivity, to handle productive stress, and to meet deadlines.
  • Driver's License: Possession of or ability to obtain a valid New Mexico driver's license is required.
Estimated Salary Range:$50,000 - $70,000 per annum

The Northwest New Mexico Council of Governments offers a competitive salary range based on experience and qualifications. The estimated salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $70,000 per annum.
