Office Support Specialist

The California Department of Education's Human Resources Division is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Office Technician. This position is responsible for providing support services to the Payroll and Benefits Office and serving as a backup to various offices within the HRD.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the Payroll and Benefits Office, including data entry, record-keeping, and correspondence.
- Assist with various HR-related tasks, such as benefits administration, employee onboarding, and personnel records management.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
This is an in-office position, requiring the incumbent to report to the office five days a week. The position is not eligible for telework.
Special Requirements:- The position requires the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications. A valid typing certificate confirming the ability to meet the minimum typing speed is required prior to being hired.
