Business Development Associate

DeBra-Kuempel Inc., a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, is seeking a skilled Business Development Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing a professional network within non-residential sectors, utilizing company-supplied B2B databases and CRM tools to create leads, and implementing EMCOR National Agreements within assigned markets.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a professional network within non-residential sectors, including commercial property and manufacturing.
- Utilize company-supplied B2B databases and CRM tools to develop relationships and create leads.
- Manage internal leads from service teams, special projects, construction, and other departments.
- Implement EMCOR National Agreements within assigned markets.
- Attend trade shows and training events to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Employ critical listening skills to identify customer needs and develop custom solutions to meet those needs.
- Create proposals that highlight value and close business.
- Follow up on all opportunities throughout the sales process.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Capability to align planning objectives with a pipeline development process to grow and develop market revenue.
- Self-motivated, with a high energy level and a desire to achieve goals beyond what is required.
- Excellent attendance and dependability, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player attitude and professional appearance.
- Knowledge of the HVAC industry is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of the healthcare and commercial property sectors is highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of direct outside sales experience in the mechanical industry or contract sales.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or construction management preferred.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Competent in integrating CRM solutions, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Familiarity with ZoomInfo B2B databases.
