Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Level Accountant to join our dynamic corporate financial team at Pequot Manufacturing. This role involves managing and analyzing financial information while ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and accurately record and analyze revenues and expenses.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies, prepare journal entries, and create monthly financial reports to support budget activities.
  • Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll administration, and prepare bank reconciliations to monitor taxation issues.
  • Supervise accounting staff's output to ensure quality and compliance, and assist with preparation for the annual outside auditor's financial statements and review process.
  • Manage and administer controls and reporting procedures for the inventory system, and offer guidance to corporate staff in resolving complex financial problems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and 5+ years of proven experience in financial analysis or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) required; Field of Study: Accounting or related field.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Computer Skills: Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other MS Office programs, higher-level accounting programs, and ERP software; 10-key calculator.

Other Requirements: Business casual dress guidelines; willingness and ability to cover other team members' duties when absent; ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality; must work well with fellow team members.
