About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Advocate to join our team. As a Residential Advocate, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for residents of our shelter. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and Supporting Residents
- Conducting intakes and orienting survivors and their children to the shelter, ensuring their initial needs are met.
- Maintaining a Safe Environment
- Providing crisis intervention services, including answering emergency hotlines, safety planning, and offering emotional support.
- Collaborating with Staff
- Collaborating with on-call staff to address emergencies and issues related to residents.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 1 year in crisis intervention is preferred.
Benefits
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- 11 paid holidays plus two floating holidays for full-time positions, and 1 floating holiday for part-time roles.
- Up to 112 hours of accrued vacation time in your first year of employment (part-time positions working under 10 hours/week are not eligible).
