Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Technician II to join our team at Special Devices, Inc. This individual will be responsible for performing all aspects of automated manufacturing equipment repair, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventative maintenance procedures on equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic devices using PLCs
    • Perform electrical tasks, including identifying and repairing circuits up to 480 volts, wiring, and troubleshooting integrated circuits
    • Interpret schematics and understand common industrial electrical components
  • Vacuum System and Sensor Troubleshooting
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot vacuum systems and sensors
    • Troubleshoot heating systems
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic Knowledge
    • Possess a working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics, including theory of regulation and flow, valve configurations, and troubleshooting
    • Possess mechanical knowledge, including fastener applications, reading and modifying mechanical drawings, and using power and hand mechanical tools
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum educational requirements include a technical degree or certificate
    • Minimum experience includes 3 years manufacturing experience, preferably in a high-volume, applicable industry
  • Qualifications
    • Ability to work effectively and professionally with all levels of employees and management in a team-oriented environment
    • Ability to understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules, and regulations associated with this position
    • Ability to respond to these and provide reports, presentations, information, and communications in English
