Job Title: Project Engineer I

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer I will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects from start to finish. This individual will coordinate with trade partners, including architects and subcontractors, to address any conflicts and ensure timely project completion.

The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of project plans and specifications, enabling them to evaluate questions and concerns effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather lead times for materials and ensure timely reviews and approvals to meet construction schedules.
  • Coordinate material deliveries with subcontractors and site superintendents to ensure timely installation.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of submittals from subcontractors before sending them to the architect for final approval.
  • Generate Requests for Information (RFIs) to the design team.
  • Distribute the most up-to-date project plans and specifications to all subcontractors.
  • Assist with obtaining permits before project commencement.
  • Responsible for creating and distributing punch lists to all subcontractors to ensure timely project completion.
  • Compile owner and operations manuals, as well as warranties, from each subcontractor related to specifications and their scope of work.
  • Gather Revit and Navisworks files from necessary trades to import into Revizto.
  • Assist in developing the Project Specific QA/QC plan.
  • Maintain project documentation and files.

Requirements:

  • 4-year B.S. degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or 2-year A.S. degree in Construction Management, plus 2 years of full-time work experience.
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam. Revit and Revizto knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand all project documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Professionally communicate with all levels of personnel within the organization and with external clients and partners.
  • Ability to collaborate as a team and work independently as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus.
