**Key Responsibilities:**

As the **Lead Platform Engineering Manager**, you will oversee a team of skilled engineers and platform architects, collaborating closely with Engineering, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Shared Platforms, Application Development, and Operations teams. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating tooling, controls, and processes that promote secure and continuous delivery through SDLC automation. A solid grasp of operational practices and modern application development is essential for creating an ecosystem that ensures quality in code releases and infrastructure changes. Your leadership will be crucial in managing personnel, processes, and technology at an enterprise level.
  • Establish a Center of Excellence with cross-functional teams to introduce innovative tools and frameworks that enhance software development.
  • Define and manage the product backlog, aligning it with feature enhancements from the product roadmap and user feedback.
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap for SDLC artifacts, guided by industry insights and stakeholder feedback.
  • Prioritize feature enhancements for enterprise capabilities while addressing specific business unit needs.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement initiatives that provide a competitive edge for development teams.
  • Create a community practice to promote the widespread adoption of standardized processes.
  • Collaborate with enterprise partners to establish strategies, standards, and policies for various platforms.
  • Engage with QA teams to define and implement automated testing protocols for certifying automation artifacts.
  • Establish a product support organization to deliver post-deployment assistance.
  • Partner with solution delivery teams to enhance product adoption and provide ongoing support.
  • Lead a diverse team of engineers, architects, and developers.
  • Mentor and develop team members to help them achieve their project and personal objectives.
  • Define an operational model for governing and managing platform products.
  • Establish roles and responsibilities for various stakeholders in enterprise architecture and operations.
  • Set critical metrics to measure performance against objectives and ensure compliance.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • 9+ years of experience in the IT industry, including:
  • 4+ years in a leadership role.
  • 4+ years in Platform Engineering and/or DevSecOps SRE roles.
  • Operational experience with automation, orchestration, virtualization/public cloud, release pipelines, and metrics collection.
  • Proficiency in cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and tools like Jenkins, Git, Harness, and Ansible.
  • Experience with network fundamentals and security standards.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go.
  • Extensive experience in defining solution architecture for large enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on experience in developing roadmaps, writing user stories, and managing product backlogs.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of an interview is required to meet job qualifications.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Certified Professional Engineer, or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
