Position Overview:


As a Lead Surveying Technician, you will play a crucial role in our operations, leading survey teams in the field, managing and executing diverse surveying assignments, and ensuring the precision and thoroughness of survey data.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in land surveying, outstanding leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering superior results.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Guaranteeing efficient and precise data collection.
  • Conducting boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking in accordance with project specifications.
  • Operating and maintaining surveying instruments, including total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
  • Performing field calculations and validating survey data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to achieve project objectives.
  • Training and mentoring survey crew members, offering guidance on surveying methodologies and best practices.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies during fieldwork.
  • Maintaining accurate and organized field notes, sketches, and other project documentation.
  • Assisting in the compilation of survey reports, drawings, and other deliverables.
  • Staying informed about industry advancements and technologies to enhance surveying capabilities.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in surveying or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in the use of surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and travel to project sites as necessary.
  • Proficient in relevant surveying software and applications.
  • Knowledge of local and state regulations pertaining to land surveying.
