Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Land Surveyor Crew Chief to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our geospatial services team, you will be responsible for leading field surveying operations, including topographical surveys, utility surveys, and construction stakeout. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead field surveying teams to ensure accurate and efficient data collection
  • Operate and maintain advanced surveying equipment, including robotic total stations, data collectors, and GPS RTK units
  • Conduct calculations and sketches in the field and office, and ensure data quality and integrity
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Represent Actalent positively and professionally in all interactions with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in land surveying, with a strong background in field operations
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in math and computer skills
  • Proficient in field coding and data collection software
  • Ability to obtain additional certifications and training as needed
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Trimble/Leica/Spectre robotic total stations, data collectors, and Carlson Survey format collectors
  • Ability to work overtime and travel with overnight stays as required
