Actalent is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor Crew Chief to join our team in the Lehigh Valley, PA office.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Land Surveyor Crew Chief to lead our surveying team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and diligently performing all aspects of field surveying, including Topographical Surveys, Utility Surveys, Preliminary Boundary Analysis/Stake Out, Construction Stakeout, and As-Built surveys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Trimble/Leica/Spectre robotic total stations, data collectors, Carlson Survey format collectors, auto-levels, GPS RTK Units, wireless communications, 3D Laser Scanners, and more.
- Conduct calculations and sketches in the field and office, download and check data, ensure safety protocols are met, plan field activities, and represent the firm positively.
- Lead and manage a team of surveyors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement surveying procedures and protocols to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in land surveying.
- High School Diploma with math and computer skills.
- Proficient field coding for field to finish auto linework.
- Ability to complete additional certifications.
- Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in leading and managing a team of surveyors.
- Knowledge of surveying software and technology.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Willingness to travel with overnight stays if required.
