Position Overview:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Neurodiagnostic Technician PRN plays a crucial role in supporting the Sleep Laboratory at SOVAH Health - Martinsville. This position is designed for individuals who are skilled in advanced sleep testing procedures and are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in training and supervising Sleep Laboratory Technicians and Trainees.
  • Perform patient and equipment setup, ensuring accurate and acceptable tracings in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Maintain clerical and recordkeeping duties within the lab environment.
  • Conduct patient and equipment calibrations to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Regularly clean and maintain laboratory equipment as per departmental guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine appropriate actions to resolve them.
  • Document patient information and technical reports accurately and comprehensively.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of two years of experience in a sleep laboratory is required, including at least one year of specialized training under the supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and a Sleep Board Certified Medical Director. The role demands critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently under general supervision.
