Position Overview: Farm Department Account Manager

Role Summary:

The Farm Department Account Manager plays a crucial role in managing all facets of Farm Insurance accounts along with associated Personal and Commercial Insurance policies. This position involves servicing, advising, retaining, and cross-selling farm-related insurance products while adhering to agency protocols and standards. Additionally, the Account Manager supports all segments of the Farm Department as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with existing clients through calls to assist with policy inquiries, provide updated quotes, and promote relevant products to ensure client retention.
  • Guide clients on policy modifications, provide accurate insurance quotes, and assist with application processes.
  • Prioritize business placements with primary carriers consistently.
  • Gather necessary information for quotes, input details into agency quoting software, and consult with clients to identify the most suitable products.
  • Handle account transactions including quotations, applications, and binders for new and rewritten business.
  • Prepare and finalize necessary documentation and adjust accounts according to agency procedures.
  • Update and process existing policies and claims in the agency's management system to reflect any changes.
  • Document all client interactions in the agency's management system, ensuring compliance with agency guidelines.
  • Assist clients with billing questions and payment processes as needed.
  • Complete designated daily and monthly reporting tasks.
  • Proactively work to retain accounts and follow up on cancellations and other necessary correspondence.
  • Seek new sales opportunities through networking and referrals.
  • Represent the agency professionally and ethically in all interactions.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to all client inquiries.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client and company information.
  • Collaborate with the Farm Department to identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Adapt between service and new business roles as required.
  • Perform any other assigned duties or responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in commercial lines account management; experience with Farm accounts is a plus.
  • Pennsylvania Property and Casualty License is required; Life and Health Insurance License is preferred.
  • Understanding of insurance coverage forms and underwriting guidelines.
  • Familiarity with agency guidelines for business placements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and agency management systems.
  • Strong customer service skills and sales principles knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
