Account Executive Job Description

At IMA Financial Group, we're seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team. As a key strategic leader, you'll partner closely with our clients and carriers to drive business growth and success.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers to drive business growth and retention.
  • Lead the renewal process for existing accounts, ensuring seamless policy reviews, loss analysis, and program design.
  • Support the winning of new business and setup of new accounts, leveraging your expertise to drive growth and revenue.
  • Maintain intimate knowledge of clients' business operations, strategies, and needs throughout the year.
  • Prepare and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders and clients, crafting effective marketing strategies and negotiating with underwriters.
  • Pursue ongoing education and awareness of industry trends, products, and services to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Develop and maintain carrier relationships, ensuring strong partnerships and growth opportunities.
  • Manage a book of business exceeding $1.5 million in revenue, with a focus on large and complex accounts.
  • Support producers in winning new business, identifying opportunities and driving growth.
  • Identify client priorities and create a vision for their insurance program, aligning with their risk management goals and business philosophy.
  • Structure a strong, long-term partnership with assigned clients, offering client team management and coaching for Level 2 Account Executives.
Requirements:
  • Experience in insurance or a related industry, with a strong understanding of the assigned book of business.
  • Ability to think strategically, based on client priorities and marketplace cycles.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience leading and developing people, with a focus on delegation and accountability.
  • Ability to work within Applied Epic and MS Office products, with a focus on PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Travel required, up to 40% based on client book of business.
  • Skilled at understanding client business operations, strategies, and needs, with a focus on risk management and insurance protection.
  • Strong IMA brand representation, with a focus on subject matter expertise and community involvement.
  • Holds general insurance designation and formal specialty designation (ARM, CPCU, Industry specific designation, etc.).
