Transportation Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Transportation Leader to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a key member of our Bridge and Highway Group, you will be responsible for leading the professional, technical, management, marketing, administrative, and financial aspects of the team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the team to achieve established goals and objectives.
- Direct overall productivity, profitability, client satisfaction, and quality of work.
- Develop and implement effective marketing and business development strategies to expand our services to clients such as TxDOT and municipal government.
- Actively participate in cross-selling of all company services and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Manage billings and collections, and work with geographic discipline leaders on resource sharing and staffing needs.
- Develop and implement regional training and staff development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Monitor staff utilization and take corrective action as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including the Health and Safety Program.
- Travel regularly to various regions and offices to provide leadership and support.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 20+ years of subsequently improving leadership and managerial experience in the industry, with 10 or more years of Bridge Engineering experience.
- Texas Professional licensure in the area of expertise.
- Prior TxDOT-related experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated effective leadership across large groups of employees.
- History of effective business development with clients not familiar with the firm.
- History of building and hiring effective teams.
