Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing strategic direction on the oversight of systems designed to monitor and ensure the quality of care and services provided to members and patients across the continuum of care. The Director, Clinical Quality Oversight will consult with the Board of Directors and alleviate or resolve issues in quality improvement systems. They will also communicate and champion best practices for maintaining the integrity of systems related to the selection, credentialing, and competence of physicians and other healthcare practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Improvement and Oversight: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality gaps and develop corrective action plans.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to quality and safety. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Quality Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain quality metrics and reporting systems to track and analyze quality performance. Provide regular reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on quality improvement initiatives and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams to ensure effective quality improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports. Minimum 5 years of experience with databases and spreadsheets. Minimum 4 years of experience delivering training programs.
  • Certifications: Professional Healthcare Quality Certificate within 24 months of hire.
