Position Summary:

We are currently in search of a Strategic Business Management Consultant to join our team. This role requires a strong commitment to in-person collaboration and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation and revision of Advance Planning Documents (APDs) essential for the management of state and federal initiatives.
  • Establish and nurture productive relationships with various teams, vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate the APD process.
  • Organize and lead meetings aimed at gathering and analyzing data necessary for the APD development.
  • Stay informed on updates from CMS HHS and USDA FNS policies, ensuring compliance and serving as a subject matter expert.
  • Educate project teams and stakeholders on compliance protocols, including the development of outcome statements and metrics.
  • Engage in discussions with federal partners and relevant departments.
  • Assist in the procurement process and monitor progress accordingly.
  • Participate in cost allocation processes and track their advancement.
  • Provide regular updates to program leadership regarding APD development and related activities.
  • Collect and organize documentation from both business and technical personnel.
  • Review and prepare documents for approval independently.
  • Ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to agency standards in all written materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing advance planning documents.
  • At least 3 years of experience in state government or public sector roles related to health and human services.
  • Familiarity with government regulations relevant to the APD writing process.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Prior experience in business analysis or project management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing conditions and feedback.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, public administration, management information systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.
