Job Title: Perinatal Safety Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Perinatal Safety Specialist at CommonSpirit Health, a leading healthcare organization. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of safety in our hospital.

The estimated salary for this role is $100,000 - $160,000 per year.

About the Position:
  • We are seeking an experienced nurse leader to oversee perinatal patient safety and quality of care initiatives and programs.
  • This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all care providers on Maternal Child Health adhere to national clinical standards and principles.
  • In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will serve as a patient safety advocate and clinical role model in perinatal nursing obstetrics.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's of Science in Nursing is required.
  • A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a clinician in Women's Services is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of project experience in Women and Infants Perinatal Safety is also required.
  • Experience with quality improvement/process improvement techniques and project/program management is necessary.
  • A current RN License in the applicable state is required.
  • Certification in one of the following is preferred: CCRN-NEO, C-EFM, RN-BC MCN, RN-BC-PERI, RNC [OB, GYN, NEONATAL], RNC-LRN, RNC-MNN, RNC-NIC, RNC-OB.
  • BLS and NRP within 90 days are also required.
