Perinatal Safety Specialist RN

We are seeking a highly skilled Perinatal Safety Specialist RN to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the Role:
- The Perinatal Safety Specialist RN will be responsible for implementing, promoting, and supporting perinatal patient safety and quality of care initiatives and programs.
- This specialized nursing role combines clinical expertise with a focus on patient safety to provide high-quality care and support to pregnant women and their families.
- The successful candidate will have a strong background in women's services and perinatal safety, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a clinician in this field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all care providers on Maternal Child Health adhere to national clinical standards and principles of safety.
- Serving as a patient safety advocate and clinical role model in perinatal nursing obstetrics.
- Implementing and supporting patient safety and quality of care initiatives.
- Monitoring clinical outcomes and facilitating interdisciplinary communication and education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required.
- Masters degree or higher preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years as a clinician in Women's Services.
- A minimum of 2 years of project experience in Women and Infants Perinatal Safety.
- Experience with quality improvement/process improvement techniques, project/program management experience, required.
- Current RN License in applicable State.
- Certification in one of the following: CCRN-NEO, C-EFM, RN-BC MCN, RN-BC-PERI, RNC [OB, GYN, NEONATAL], RNC-LRN, RNC-MNN, RNC-NIC, RNC-OB.
- BLS.
- NRP within 90 days.
