The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Aviation Safety Manager. This position is based in Lincoln, NE.

About the Role:

  • This position is responsible for overseeing aviation safety activities in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Manages and monitors individual and unit performance standards with organizational initiatives, goals, and objectives.
  • Provides feedback, acknowledges achievement, and addresses performance deficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs the work of subordinate employees at the organizational unit level.
  • Creates appropriate expectations for achieving intended results.
  • Managerial duties include planning, organizing, setting priorities; assigning and allocating work for a unit, group, or team.
  • Monitors and evaluates performance; coaches and develops employee capabilities.
  • Approves leave; and takes or recommends corrective/disciplinary action, as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • A valid second-class medical certificate in accordance with FAA regulations.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the technical aspects of the directed work.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the Aviation Safety Inspector position in a safe and efficient manner.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as aviation, safety, or management.
  • Mastery of relevant software applications and tools, including Microsoft Office and other specialized programs.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field, with a strong background in aviation safety and management.
  • Proven track record of success in managing teams and leading projects.

Earn a competitive salary of $104,854 - $146,836 per year.

Salary Estimate: Based on national averages and industry benchmarks, we estimate that this role pays around $127,000 per year. However, please note that actual salaries may vary based on factors such as location and qualifications.
