Position Overview
We are in search of a proactive Financial Analyst to collaborate with the Network Operations Center (NOC) and Transportation Technology teams, as well as the Sub Same Day business teams across India and Emerging Markets.

The primary role will involve supporting the business in strategic planning and decision-making through insightful analysis and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst will serve as a financial partner to the associated business units. The essential duties include:

  • Oversight of headcount and expenditure with an emphasis on achieving internal efficiency targets year-over-year.
  • Facilitating the headcount and cost planning process for the organization.
  • Managing month-end closing activities and ensuring precise reporting of financial outcomes.
  • Conducting financial reviews with senior leadership.
  • Performing analyses to determine return on investment (ROI) from initiatives and assisting in project prioritization.
  • Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements based on key performance metrics.

A Day in the Life
The Financial Analyst will engage closely with relevant business teams, taking ownership of headcount management, financial metrics, reporting, planning, and analysis.

This role requires a strong focus on controllership, stakeholder engagement, and business collaboration, along with the ability to manage competing priorities independently while maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness.

Basic Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- At least 4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable.
- Proficiency in applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses for over 4 years.
- Experience in creating process enhancements through automation and analysis for a minimum of 4 years.
- Proven track record of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify financial or business processes for at least 4 years.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or a Bachelor's degree coupled with 5+ years in a quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance).
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Advanced SQL skills for data mining and business intelligence.
- Experience as a lean sensei or in a Quality Assurance Engineer role.
- An MBA or CA qualification.

Preferred Qualifications
- Over 4 years of involvement in continuous improvement initiatives within your team to enhance controllership with measurable outcomes.
- Familiarity with Tableau.
- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
